When Applying the AQL tables Does or Doesn’t Make Sense

Quality Control TipsHere is the second video about the ANSI tables (also known as “AQL tables”). The previous video is here.

These statistics were designed for a very specific case, and most buyers are not aware of this. As a consequence, they apply these same statistical tables to all types of situations.

I will cover the cases where it makes sense to use the AQL tables:

  • Inspection by attributes
  • Lot-by-lot inspections
  • Normal vs. reduced vs. tightened severity: the switching rules
  • Why single plans are less efficient than double plans

This is not all theory. In each part, I try to mention the key takeaways for buyers.

I hope it’s all clear. Don’t hesitate to ask questions in the comments below.

In the next video we’ll expose something that should be shocking to buyers: the statistics behind the AQL tables are clearly in favor of the supplier.
