Chinese consumers are getting more demanding

I found this advertisement in my lift this morning:

I_Love_Milk

Do they really need to advertise for milk consumption? I know the central government is pushing it, but it was already growing very fast in large cities.

Or is it because of safety worries, after the tainted milk scandal of last year? Are Chinese people hesitating to drink milk and getting poisoned again? They wouldn’t admit it to me, but i guess there are concerns over safety.

It is probably a sign that Chinese consumers are getting more demanding. Twenty years from now, the young Chinese living in large cities will probably be as sophisticated as American and European consumers. Some local brands that I found in department stores have already adapted, actually.
